I have never owned a pair of legit cowboy boots. I am Texas born & raised, yet have never owned cowboy boots. I feel a little ashamed even typing that!

So when I found these AMAZING Patagonia boots for $14 while thrifting at the Sand Dollar Thrift Store, I thought they could be my cowboy boots. They are the closest thing I might ever come to wearing cowboy boots. I imagine cowboy boots being uncomfortable & my legs sweating… I just don’t need that kind of stress in my day.

Ok. Back to the Patagonia boots, they are MINT condition. Honestly I don’t know if they were ever worn at all. Which for many will take the YUCK factor out of buying thrifted shoes. Even my poor hubby gets the yucks when I thrift shoes.

I finally pulled out my boots & paired it with this Anthropologie Patched Racquet dress I picked up for $1.75 from the Family Thrift Center Outlet. And I think it was a home run! I can see these little boots being paired with shorts a lot during the summer!

Just take a look at the breakdown of costs! I mean why wouldn’t you atleast try hitting up a thrift store every once in awhile?! And just for your amusement I photoshopped the boots onto the model for a legit side by side 😉
