Sometimes a trend hits and it just speaks to your SOUL. Yeah, I’m going so far to say that this trend of pleated metallic skirts is speaking to my soul! And for so many reason too… let me just tell you about them.

  • Metallic. Enough  said, a little bit of sheen & pop never hurt a gal feel good about herself. I’m loving the metallic trend as a whole right now, but ESPECIALLY embodied in a flattering and fun skirt.
  • Flattering. These longer midi skirts pulled up at a high waist is instantly slimming and hides that mama (or taco) pooch. So no spanx necessary, unless of course you want to.
  • Midi Length. The longer length means no worries of your dress showing anything off when bending over. And less shaving…I mean very little of your leg is showing so you can get away with shaving just that bit. Right? šŸ˜‰
  • Twirl worthy. This is a big one. A skirt that is twirl worthy, is AH-MAZING. Skirts that you can spin & twirl in are just worth it for the pure joy that comes from the perfect skirt spin.

If you aren’t ready for the metallic skirt, maybe try just a pleated midi skirt sans shine! I’ve linked to one at the bottom of this post that would be a perfect addition to anyone’s closet, along with some metallic skirts I’m loving on right now.

  2. Love that bright green pleated skirt. Green is one of my fave colors but I am surprised I don’t own too many of this color in my closet.

  7. Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. This green metalic skirt is a great find, so are the shoes. Together with the striped top, great strettstyle. Love the look!

  8. Pleated skirts simply don’t speak to me, I fear. I believe it has something to do with my aversion towards bumps and lumps appearing around my midriff and hip sections. That does not, however, deter me from appreciating just how heavenly a pleated confection can look on someone else, case in point, you šŸ™‚ and may I say those brogues are da bomb dot com? The perfect touch.
