The weather has been interesting to say the least this winter/fall & I’m looking forward to sweltering hot summer time in Houston. And I must just have it in my brain that Spring should be here because this outfit screams “HEELLOOOO SPRING!!!!”

I’m really looking forward to wearing shorts & skirts everyday! The warm weather can’t come soon enough, but when I found this entire outfit (minus wedges that are an old favorite) I just had to shoot in it…even if I had goosebumps the whole time!

I get asked all the time how to add color to a wardrobe & a favorite for me is to add a BIG SOLID chunk of color like I did with my skirt. If I would have worn a jean skirt, jeans or just a pair of jean shorts this outfit wouldn’t have as much impact. A solid chunk of unexpected color has a far great impact than adding color with patterns, patterns tend to steal the show so the color doesn’t stand out and command the attention.
