Guys…you see how I’m jumping for joy? It’s because I found this vintage Lilly Pulitzer skirt for a mere song! And I also found SEVEN more of them in that same trip to the thrift store!! I was, as the kids say (or maybe don’t anymore?) SHOOK! I love when browsing my favorite Houston thrift stores turns into crazy good hauls, sometimes I come out empty handed but sometimes I come out with WAY more than I intended! Before you scroll to the bottom of this post, can you guess what is & not thrifted in my outfit?

This skirt is in a silhouette that I usually wouldn’t wear because they are usually too fitted on my hips that make my not comfortable enough to move around but with a size up it felt so much more comfortable to move around in. After all, I’m always after comfort being a mom of two. I paired this thrifted bright citrus infused skirt with simple white t-shirt & blush sneakers to take it to a very casual place.

Pairing skirts with sneakers & casual tshirts can help relax a skirt that may feel a bit to much for a casual day around town but still make a stylish impact. What’s your favorite way to dress down a piece that could seem too stuffy for a day of errands?

  1. Such a fun look! I also size up in skirts that cut for the same reason (if it isn’t comfortable and I can’t move I won’t wear it)! My dressed down style is usually the opposite-I tend to wear dressier tops with denim or some other form of casual pants.
