Y’all today is the first day in my new weekly series called $20 Thrift Challenge Thursday! Where every week I will invite someone to co-host with me this weekly challenge to look fashionable AF on a dime! I am just so. darn. excited!! So, let’s get started! I’ll be breaking down the cost of my outfit, sharing the rules for #ipd20dollarthriftchallenge & my co-host Dee will sharing too.

This week my co-host is the fab ThriftDee! Dee is a creative, hilarious and cute as a button suburban housewife & blogger. And actually the reason I started blogging about thrift store style, I’ve had a blog since my teenage years (y’all I’m in my 30s) & she is the one who sparked me to share my passion for thrifted fashion with the internet!! So, THANK YOU Dee for rekindling my blogger passion when it had fizzled out.

First! Let me share Dee’s outfit with y’all!

Jacket $24.99 (half off day) $12.50 | JCrew Pumps $6.99 (half off) $3.50 | Old Navy Jeans $6.99 (half off) $3.50 | Belt No Brand .49
That is a close call!! 1 penny to spare!

I for sure thought that Dee was going to pull in the plaid, she LOOOVES her some plaid but she surprised me & showed up in what she calls her daytime sequins for this challenge. And you may wonder why we both ended up in disco ball outfits? Well, she showed me her outfit earlier in the week…so I thrifted off her idea so it would look like we were two crazy ladies about to go out for a night on the town (& each be home by 9pm). The hardest part for me was jeans, I’ve been looking for a pair of jeans I like for MONTHS upon MONTHS. I was about to give up but when I was at my local goodwill store, a fresh rack rolled out & had the exact jeans I had been envisioning. AND IN MY SIZE! I couldn’t believe it, all my persistence paid off.

Here is the breakdown of this totally thrifted outfit in which I came under budget on!! I could have sprang for an accessory or something else, dang it!

TOP: Vintage $1.75 | JEANS: Zara $6.99 | SHOES: Target $6.99
