With the weather heating up, I am looking forward to spending an endless amount of summer days spent outdoors. During a recent beachside getaway, I noticed a few items I’ve been reaching for repeatedly with the weather heating up that also make summer styling easier; from no-fuss layering to my favorite the new bubba Trailblazer with Straw water bottle I picked up at Walmart!

First up, silk scarves have made a huge come back recently, they are one of the most affordable ways in adding color, texture & layers to a summertime outfit without adding the heat of an actual layer. Silk scarves can be found in nearly every color & have tons of ways you can style them, I love adding a pop of style by tying one around a simple ponytail!

Another summer layer that can be lightweight enough during the sweltering days of summer is a breezy duster/kimono. The addition of a solid duster can be a key piece to any summer wardrobe. This light layer can be rolled up & put into a bag if needed or can be pulled out when headed into a restaurant that is blasting their a/c. Speaking of restaurants, I ALWAYS have my giant 40 oz bubba trailblazer water bottle with me so when I eat out I’ll ask for them to fill it with ice & water to last me until my next pit stop. It stays cold for 24 hours so I know I won’t go for a sip & get hot water…that’s just the worst on a hot day!

A staple piece that will add a summer flair to just about any outfit is a straw bag, year after year these bags pop up. No matter your summer plans, there’s a straw bag that will take you through the summer with style. Adding in hints of nautical prints & textures are also a great way to summon summer style.

And the one accessory I have with me always? My pretty blue bubba Trailblazer with Straw that I found on rollback for $12.96 when I was at Walmart. I had been telling my husband I want a giant leak-proof water bottle with a straw & then boom I found it on my latest trip to grab groceries. You can also find it online at Walmart.com.
