As summer approaches, I’m all about trying to find new and fun projects to keep my kids busy during their break from school. During all of the chaos of planning vacations and activities, I need to remember the furry, four legged 5th member of the family! We adopted our lovely pup, Noah, a little over a year ago, and he’s been such a joy. He’s so sweet with Micah and Emily, and has really become the heart of our family. The kids love playing with him and he’s such a well behaved dog. Noah is a rescue pup, so we do our best to spoil him a little every now and then, especially during the fun summer months. Recently, we discovered Super Chewer (from the makers of BarkBox), a monthly subscription box for dogs, filled with durable toys and high quality treats.
We also got the Treat Lock Hermit Crab Dog Toy, a round shaped toy that you can use to hide treats. Noah goes nuts for peanut butter, so the treats they sent to go inside the toy made him go nuts—in a good way! This was by far his favorite item from the box. I’ve gotten him treat lock toys before, but he always manages to get the treat in a matter of minutes, but this one actually kept him busy for a while.
The other treats and chews were hits, too. I really liked that they are all made in the USA and with only all-natural, high quality ingredients. I’ve heard so many horror stories lately about the dangerous ingredients they put in dog treats, so knowing that the Peanut Butter and Banana Deep Sea treats were free of soy, wheat and all that bad stuff was great. The Super Chewer box keeps Noah and my kids entertained for hours, and the toys are lasting longer than others that I’ve gotten from pet stores. It’s a great way to spoil him a little, plus the chews they sent help to keep his teeth healthy, too. He loves having the kids home, so Super Chewer is the perfect way for them to bond and play together over the summer.
