Y’all holiday season means entertaining & dinner parties galore, one of my go to things to bring is a charcuterie board! It’s so simple & always makes a huge impact to a table! I’m sharing a few of my favorite tips to make your charcuterie board a hit this holiday season!

The holiday season is a time of giving! And I love to find ways to give in small ways, even when putting together a charcuterie board for my friends. This season Wonderful Pistachios, will be donating $.10/unit for Wonderful Pistachios Roasted & Salted and Wonderful Pistachios Roasted No Salt sold at Walmart up to $100k. So while on my recent trips to Walmart I made sure to stock up on Pistachios to add to all my charcuterie boards this holiday season! And all the donations will benefit Toys for Tots (from November 1 – December 24, 2019).

I wanted to share some of my favorite charcuterie boards tips that are usually so overlooked but really make a big difference when serving and hosting during the holiday season.

3 Tips for your Charcuterie Board

Tip #1 – Keep It Bite Sized

Have you ever went for a grape & it was all still one huge bunch of grapes? I make sure that each item is easily able to be grabbed or pulled apart without a knife. I cut grapes into small bunches to about 5 grapes or so per bunch, add utensils to soft cheeses (if you expect people to just use a cracker you’ll end up with cheese that is full of crumbs) & keep everything in smaller pieces (cut up any fruit).

Tip #2 – Empty Bowls

BIGGEST mistake you can make is not providing empty bowls for empty for you Wonderful Pistachios shells! I load up my charcuterie boards with Wonderful Pistachios Roasted & Salted and Wonderful Pistachios Roasted No Salt because they’re just a great heart-healthy snack that are dry roasted with no added oil but if you don’t add in empty bowls your guests will be searching for somewhere to put their shells. Start the bowl off with a couple of shells to clue everyone in on what their purpose is.

Tips #3 – Keeping costs down

Buying bricks of cheese is so much more cost effective than buying pre-sliced/cubed cheeses, that goes the same for fruit too. By taking an extra 10 minutes to slice up everything for your board you save SIGNIFICANTLY on all you need for your “fancy” charcuterie board. I also tend to find a variety pack of crackers to keep me having to buy 4 boxes of crackers!
