If you follow my Instagram or my blog at all, you’ll know I love thrifting. And with that love I quickly learned years ago I could make money shopping. I know, every girl’s dream right? Reselling thrift store finds is all about finding the items that people will pay a pretty penny for…and you only pay pennies for. I love sharing things to look for at thrift stores to resell & you can see specific items I sold here & here.
I am also sharing approximately how many hours I worked on particular platforms each month, I don’t count sourcing items since I don’t go on trips JUST for sourcing anymore. All my trips thrifting are for myself & if I happen to find things to resell..well that’s awesome. And some hours I’ve only shipped because I listed the items I sold in previous month’s. So let’s get into how much time I spent reselling thrift store finds in February.
Reselling On Poshmark
Approx hours worked:5
I shared how much I made in 2018 reselling on Poshmark but with such a crazy schedule haven’t had the chance to dive back in as much as I’d like. I’ve been very, very part time on reselling lately but switched my mind set to wanting to finding less items of higher quality. I still have smaller sales due to old inventory I’m trying to get rid of but I hope to have an average sell price of $50 on Poshmark in the next few months. One thing that was requested from these posts that I share some items that sold, so here are some items that sold over the month.
Reselling On Mercari
Approx hours worked: 5
I’ve been loving Mercari for selling hard goods, I’ve sold some items that were SO stale on eBay…seriously sat FOR SO LONG. Things I thought that would fly but I feel like they weren’t given any attention but actually sold on Mercari!! WOOHOOOO!!! And I just sold a Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair I found thrifting for $145 after only paying $12 for it at the thrift store but the awesome thing? Mercari offers a reduced rate for the UPS pack & ship where they will pack it safely for you! All I have to do is take the item, show them my receipt & they’ll do the rest of the work for me! So it’s an amazing option for larger items you might be selling.
