Keeping our skin safe from the sun is very important to me. I’ve always been hyper aware of the sun & its effects because just a hour in the sun can leave my skin in pain. But thankfully that means my children’s skin is always cared for & recently I got a chance to try COOLA Sun Care products free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. This summer I’ve had the kids wearing a bit extra sun protection with rash guards that have a UPF of 50 from Land’s End. But it’s not just the kids, the whole family is geared up to protect their skin. The hubby finally switched from regular t-shirts to swim shirts that protect his skin when we are spending hours upon hours in the sun. One of the upsides of having UPF 50 swim wear that covers up? Less time slapping on the sunscreen 😉

Speaking of sunscreen, whenever planning a day in the sun slap that first layer of sunscreen on while at home (or hotel). The kids just never want to stay still if they know there’s water around & it gives it sufficient time to dry. We’ve just discovered COOLA Sport SPF 50 Guava Mango Sunscreen Spray & I love the tropical scent! But let’s talk about the benefits, it has 80 minutes of wear time. That means that your kids & you can play as hard as you want, just set a timer for a hour to reapply (cause you know it’ll take at least 15 minutes to round up the kiddos. And this sunscreen doesn’t leave you feeling greasy! OK, ok while we are talking sun safety, there are a couple more COOLA products I’ve been using on a regular. One is the COOLA make up setting spray that has an SPF 30, I have never seen a setting spray with an SPF so this is MAJOR! And then the COOLA Mineral Sport SPF 50 Tinted Sunscreen Stick is AMAZING! It has a beautiful natural color for when you are beach bound but opting for no makeup.

Our swim wear is taking a beating this summer with trips to the beach, water parks & hotel swimming pools and still look awesome. And our swimsuits even went hiking with us in Big Bend, along with our swim shoes. I opted to get us some swim shoes from Land’s End that also were more durable, which I quickly fell in love with and ended up hiking Big Bend National Park in because they were light weight & easily let out water but kept out pesky rocks that my sneakers would let in.
