It’s chocolate season! Just kidding..that’s an everyday thing over here in my household. My family’s favorite chocolate recipe? My ultimate rich & nutty brownies! Wanna know my secret for completely elevating the flavors? It’s using awesome ingredients..how vague right?

Honestly though, if you’re making brownies you want the star ingredient to shine so using a high-quality chocolate is a MUST. For these brownies, I used AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Chocolate, this particular one that I found on Amazon has a touch of orange, vanilla, and cinnamon that play off the chocolate SO WELL! These spices that are blended right into the chocolate give it a rich, unique flavor that completely took my usual brownie recipe to a whole new level & that’s why I couldn’t wait to share this recipe with you!!

One thing I do differently with my brownie recipe is I love to put them in my silicone muffin pan for perfect portions. They’re also SO good if you are serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. You can certainly use a traditional baking pan, this is just my preference when baking brownies.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate Finely Grated Chocolate
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (melted)
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup chopped pecans
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
2/3 cup slivered almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease a muffin pan or 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
MIX melted butter & chocolate together until smooth. Stir in eggs. Stir in flour, sugar, vanilla extract and baking soda. Stir in 1/3 cups of each pecans, walnuts & almonds. Spread or divided into prepared baking pan. Use remaining nuts on top of brownie batter.
BAKE for 18 to 22 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely before cutting.
