Starting August 6th, I’ll be Opting in for Optimism with Frost Bank. What’s that mean? For 30 days I will focus on choosing optimism & it couldn’t have come at a better time. Let me tell you why I’m taking this 30 day challenge (& maybe you’ll want to take the journey with me). And I’m optimistic my dog will look at the camera next time! 😉

Lately I’ve felt overwhelmed & it’s just so easy to get down on yourself and think negative thoughts. So I am taking a conscious decision to be optimistic but I don’t want to do it just for myself, I am hoping it’ll inspire others to also choose the same. I also hope through these actions, I will reflect an optimistic & positive attitude that will have others wanting the same.

The three types of tasks that are given each day fall into one of the following categories fostering generosity, building community & changing perspectives. I am looking forward to task that might take me out of my comfort level & that would probably be the building community. As crazy as it may sound, I get very nervous around people I don’t know & just don’t like to be a “bother” to others. But that’s a slice of pessimist in me that I’d like to flip around, I’d like to be more connected to others & not afraid of rejection as much.

I don’t know where this challenge will take me or the changes that will take place, but I’m excited to see where it goes!

Through out this practice of optimism I will be doing daily check-ins on my Instagram Stories, a mid way check-in post & wrap it up with a blog post after the 30 days.

You can sign up to get daily emails with prompts to practice optimism everyday of the challenge here! Oh! And there is even a Facebook Page for the challenge! Pssttt I’d suggest grabbing a notebook for the challenge also!
