We became a family of 5 last year when we adopted our dog, Noah. He settled into our home relatively quickly, and I now can’t remember life without him.  He’s really patient with the kids, and we really couldn’t have asked for a better dog!

I’m obviously really conscious of my family’s diet. I’ve fed Noah generic dog food since we got him, and never really gave it much thought. But recently,  I’ve heard a lot of hype recently about the dangerous ingredients hidden in kibble and other store-bought brands, and honestly, it was pretty shocking to read. Major dog food brands have been found to contain feathers, roadkill and other gross things that terrible for your dog’s health. That’s why I was really excited to try Ollie.

Ollie is a line of human-grade dog food that is customized to fit your dog’s breed, weight and nutritional requirements. The meals are curated after you fill out a short quiz that asks for some info about their activity level and habits. From there, Ollie’s veterinary nutritionists curate meals for your dog that have the perfect combinations of nutrients they need. Even though the blend is tailored just for Noah, I had the choice to select what type of protein it would contain. Noah is nuts for all things chicken, so I selected that option for him

Noah’s Ollie shipment arrived fresh and perfectly portioned in sleek reusable/recyclable containers that fit nicely in our refrigerator. I couldn’t believe the quality of the ingredients, you could actually see whole pieces of chicken breast and fruits and veggies. Noah is somewhat of a picky eater, so I wasn’t sure how he would react to this change to his regular diet, but he loved it! He licked the bowl clean!

Ollie also made it a lot easier to know exactly how much to feed Noah. Everything is calculated to his weight and breed, so I wouldn’t have to worry about over or underfeeding him. After just a few days of feeding Ollie, I really started to notice a difference in his manner. He had more energy overall, and he finished every meal in record time! He used to leave some of his dry food on his bowl and not finish, so it’s great to know that he’s eating something that he not only really enjoys, but that’s good for his health, too.

Ollie’s convenient subscription plan means I never have to worry about running out. It’s great knowing that we are feeding Noah all-natural ingredients that will keep him in the best health.

  1. Our dog liked the Ollie food, but I did not like the huge styrofoam packaging. I don’t know how this can be considered “recyclable.” I switched to another subscription service which uses cornstarch insulation and no styrofoam and my dog is just as happy.

    1. How odd, mine didn’t come with any styrofoam packaging at all. Maybe they got enough feedback to where they changed that?

  2. I would love to know what breed of dog Noah is. My dog has very similar markings and we are not sure of the breed. We rescued him recently.
