I’m coming at you with a thrift haul! I’m aiming to make this a monthly feature, no fancy camera or setup. Just me, my iPhone, thrift store finds & mirror selfies. Not everything needs to be a big production, I love sharing my thrifted outfits with fun photoshoots but I don’t get to share all my finds that way. So here we are with a thrift haul blog post.
Top | Brand: FRAME | Cost: $1.50 (vs ~$90 retail)
Skirt | Brand: Target | Cost: $5.45 (vs $24.99 retail) | Found New with Tags
Top | Brand: Vintage Cost: $1.50
Top | Brand: Vintage Cost: $1.50
Coat | Brand: LOGO by Lori Goldstein | Cost: $14.74 (vs retail ~$174)
TIP: Don’t give too much thought to a size, things run big, things run small. This coat is a few sizes too big but I didn’t let that stop me (it’s a 14 & I’m usually a 6/8) from at least trying on this gorgeous coat, I love the oversized look so much more than if it was fitted. I’ve been on the hunt for an oversized coat I can throw on & this one hit the mark.
Sweater | Brand: Lacoste (vintage) | Cost: $1.50 (vs retail new stock ~$75)
So funny that a few days after finding this sweater, I saw that The Makerista thrifted the same one & sparked nostalgia among Instagram.
Top | Brand: Talbots Cost: $6.46
Sweater | Brand: Vintage Cost: $1.50
Sweater | Brand: POL | Cost: $6.46 (vs retail ~$48)
Dress | Brand: Anthropologie | Cost: $6.46 (vs retail ~$168)
Dress | Brand: Vintage | Cost: $1.50
TIP: To get out cigarette smoke I wash clothing with a cup of vinegar because sometimes clothes that have lived in smokey quarters need more than just a wash to get out the smell.
This dress is my diner girl chic look…haha! It’s a bit big on me but I’ll be adjusting it for a better fit & it needed a good long vinegar soak because it smelled horribly of smoke that didn’t come out in the first wash. I found this at the Family Thrift Center Outlet (along with anything else you see priced at $1.50 or $2) where everything is the same price, I love a good Family Thrift Store haul.
